Loan Co - Captain
Chef Loan Co was born in My Tho, South Vietnam & emigrated to the U.S. in 1982. In 1989 she helped open the Marriott Hotel in San Francisco under Executive Pastry Chef John Hui, CEPC & Pastry Bill Holt. Today Chef Loan is the key person in the tastings, menu presentations & food sales. Chef Co is an active member of the American Culinary Federation & Chefs Association of the Pacific Coast since 1995. In 2000 she competed in the IKA Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany where she received the highest score for the team. In 2003 she earned first place gold medal at the ACF sanctioned salon in Orange County as well as gold medal in Las Vegas. Chef Co received the 2005 JW Marriott Excellence award, The San Francisco Hotel Hero award for lifetime achievement and is the recipient of the prestigious Antonin Careme medal. In January 2008 received the best Ice Cream Cake decoration at the ICE World Cup in Italy, and in the same year won gold medal at the Culinary Olympics in Germany for the USA AAC Regional Culinary Team.

Panida Garrett
Born in Ratchaburi, Thailand, Panida received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Bangkok University in 2001 and her Master of Arts in Social Development from NIDA in Bangkok in 2004. Panida was accomplished with Thai and regional food preparation but had no baking or pastry experience until she moved to California in 2005. In 2006 Panida graduated from the Professional Culinary Institute (Campbell, CA) under the guidance of Master Chef Bo Friberg and Chef Mial Parker. She left an indelible impression at the school with her detailed presentations of plated desserts, petit fours, and wedding cake.
Panida won a Gold Medal and Best of Show for Petit Fours in 2006 at the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Texas Chefs Association Cold/Hot Food Competition. She won Second Place and People’s Choice in the Professional Class for her entry in the 2007 Ritz-Carlton Ginger Bread Contest.
In 2006 Panida began work as the Breakfast Pastry Cook at Citizen Cake in San Francisco under Executive Chef Elizabeth Falkner. She has since matriculated to cake baker and decorator for Chef Falkner at Orson Restaurant in San Francisco.

Paul John R Padua
Paul John R. Padua is the executive pastry chef of The Ahwahnee, Yosemite National Park’s Four-Diamond, historic national landmark hotel. Chef Padua has received multiple prestigious awards and medals in the culinary trade for his unique pastry and baking creations, and began his new career in Yosemite Valley in 2008.
Prior to attaining his culinary position at The Ahwahnee, chef Padua worked at and/or opened numerous, world-famous resorts, hotels and casinos in the United States, Asia and the Pacific region. Some of these include Caesars Palace and the Luxor in Las Vegas, Nevada; Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii; The Sherwood Hotel of Guam and Taipei, Taiwan; and many establishments throughout the Pacific Rim, including The Westin Gu, Guam Hyatt, The Guam Hilton Int’l., Pacific Star Hotel, Onward Agana Beach Hotel, Palace Hotel Guam and Tokyo, Leo Palace Resort Guam, and the Aqua Resort Saipan.
