I wrote a blog last week talking about what we are going to present next year at the World Pastry Forum. Putting our classes online and making them available to those who cannot attend the World Championship or World Pastry Forum is an exciting new venture for us. Making it highly affordable for those out there is even more exciting.
What I would like is some feedback from our members as to whether this is something that would be appreciated and desireable. The cost for the 10 classes plus the flashdrive that would include the recipes, diagrams, and the instructors comments would be $250 instead of $1,500 plus airfare and hotel.
It's true that it wouldn't be the same as being there and interacting with everyone but it would be the next best thing and it would allow our members to watch and learn from top professionals the world over and be on the edge of the pastry world.

My only issue with this idea would be that the demos be recorded in their entirety and not edited to parts and parcels. Sometimes when you look at recordings there are parts missing because time was taken to show who was there or the parts with questions and answers or tips are edited out. Then you have the information but it is not as useful to you unless you were there.
This year was my first year and I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for continuing to organise this great event. When are you going to update this site so we can register for next year?

I am a chef instructor at Le Cordon Bleu and am always looking for ways to excite my students. Having the classes on flash drive will allow us to reach a larger audience and who better than our future culinary stars? Many of them don't know that this side of the pastry world exists and this online option will help me show it to them. Please let me know as soon as it is available.
